Training Zones

Training zones allow you to categorize the intensity of your efforts.

Zone Types

Slek offers you to configure

Configure Zones

Then, you choose the calculation method and enter the data necessary for the calculation.
Finally, save this configuration.

Advanced Editing

If needed, the button allows you:
Using percentages for zone thresholds allows a coach to copy/paste a config to several athletes (data like HR max etc... are of course not copied)

Zones by Sport

You can define different zones for each sport. For example, different HR zones for running and cycling.
Unless there's a specific need, configure zones by sport category when it makes sense (for example: bike for MTB and road bike).
When multiple zones are configured, there is an order of precedence (from most specific to most general).
For example for an MTB activity, Slek will look, in order
As a result, it is recommended to configure a zone for all sports: if your triathlete exceptionally does a cross-country ski outing or a rowing initiation... Slek will still find zones.

Recalculate Time Spent in Zones

Zone time stats are calculated and stored when the activity ends and Slek receives it.
When you modify these zones, the new zones will only apply to future activities.
If you modify daily data that allows calculating zones (like HR max), Slek asks you since when the data should be modified: if you measure a new HR max of 200 bpm one day, you can assume that your HR max the day before was already 200 bpm. It's up to you to decide since when you think your HR max was 200 bpm.
Once you have modified the zone definition or the data that allows calculating them, you can ask Slek to take these new zones into account in the past, by recalculating time spent in zones using the menu at the top of the page.
